THE TREASURE HUNTER
IL CERCATORE DI TESORI
For all of my life I have searched for the most hidden and precious treasures, I have travelled to the most remote corners of the world, crossed oceans and battled through storms….I have found treasure chests full of gold, the most precious objects, amphora, vases and rare gems...but one day I understood that I had yet to find the most precious treasure and that what I was searching for was there at my fingertips. There isn’t greater or more precious wealth than the memories of our life and I risked to forget everything for material riches, if it wasn’t for a little book closed inside a box that brought back my memory…..it took just a breath to blow away the dust and it all came back to me.
The most beautiful memories and the fables always begin with “once upon a time.” Above all, I remember the voices of the storytellers ……and more often than not, I fell asleep immediately…but now I’m awake, and I remember everything ……signed by the treasure hunter.
Per tutta la vita ho cercato i tesori più nascosti e più preziosi, ho viaggiato per gli angoli più sperduti del mondo, ho solcato mari ed affrontato tempeste….ho trovato forzieri pieni d’oro, ho trovato i monili più preziosi, anfore, vasi e pietre rare….ma un giorno ho capito che il tesoro più prezioso non lo avevo ancora trovato, e quello che cercavo era lì a portata di mano e non lo avevo mai visto. Non c’è ricchezza più grande e più preziosa dei ricordi della nostra vita ed io ho rischiato di dimenticare tutto solo per avidità, se non fosse stato un piccolo libro chiuso in un cassetto che mi ha fatto tornare la memoria……è bastato un soffio per levare via la polvere e tutto è ricomparso.
I ricordi più belli sono le favole che iniziavano sempre cosi: “c’era una volta…”, ma soprattutto il ricordo della voce che me le raccontava...e quanto immancabilmente mi addormentavo subito! Ma ora mi sono risvegliato e ricordo tutto e non mi scorderò più nulla.
